Course Description
The undulating course is 1 mile 5 furlongs in length, pear shaped and run right-handed. There is an extension on the home straight for the sprint races. The home straight is steeply uphill. The chase course has nine fences to a circuit and the run-in from the last is just over 1 furlong.
Facilities
The Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure: The Grandstand & Paddock enclosure allows you access to all ground floor public areas including the Bell Hall of The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Grandstand with it’s extensive bars and fast food outlets, Paddock Bar, Pre-Parade and Parade Rings.
The Tattersalls Enclosure: Within this enclosure you have access to the Jubilee Grandstand, Bell Hall & Lower Terracing. There are a variety of bars and catering outlets selling food and snacks.

By Car: Carlisle Racecourse is situated one and a half miles South of the City, and only two miles from Junction 42 of the M6, it is well signposted from here. Parking is free.
